The service

InsTranscript offers a tool to create text transcripts from public Instagram Reels and TikTok video links. It is an independent service and is not sponsored, endorsed, or operated by Instagram, Meta, or TikTok. Availability depends on the source platform and the transcription provider. Private, deleted, restricted, or unsupported videos may fail.

Acceptable use

Submit only public links that you are allowed to process. You are responsible for the rights, permissions, and lawful basis needed for your use of a video and its transcript. Do not use the service to infringe copyright or privacy rights, bypass access controls, overload the service, or evade usage limits. Do not submit private information through a public video link.

Results and accuracy

Transcripts can contain mistakes, missing words, language errors, or imperfect timing. Review important passages against the source video before quoting, publishing, or making decisions from them. A transcript does not grant permission to reuse the underlying video, audio, or another person's words.

Free access and limits

The current free tool allows up to three requests per browser per day, subject to additional network and site-wide limits. We may change limits or temporarily suspend requests to keep the service available. A request can count toward a limit even if the source platform or provider cannot return a transcript.

Third-party services

When enabled, the service sends submitted public video URLs to Supadata for processing. Its separate terms and privacy policy may apply to that processing. Instagram and TikTok control their own content and access conditions. InsTranscript cannot guarantee continued access to content on either platform.

Changes and availability
